Sometimes life feels like a constant search for dry spots—small places to rest while trying not to get soaked by everything else. But the exhaustion of staying safe can become its own kind of suffering, leaving us longing to stop outrunning life and simply flow with what is.
As I grimaced through each painful step on a recent morning walk, I found myself wanting to separate from the pain — to focus on the beauty around me and leave the pain behind. But something shifted. What if the pain didn’t need to be left behind at all? What if it too contained its own kind of beauty? And what if I could apply that same question to everything else feeling heavy and uncertain in my life right now?
